Regular Season Round 4: Hogsbo - AIK Basket 97-62

The most important game of round 4 took place in Goteborg between two undefeated teams where Hogsbo crushed AIK Basket (4-1) 97-62 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of AIK Basket. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Hogsbo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding AIK Basket to just 7 points in first quarter. Hogsbo had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hogsbo made 8 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by AIK Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian forward Toni Vitali (203-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and point guard Emil Lundstedt (175-94) who added 25 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Hogsbo players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Alexander Holmstrom-Forster (198-92) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Nemanja Kutic scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hogsbo have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. AIK Basket at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with IK Eos. They were replaced at the leadership position by Hogsbo. AIK Basket will play next round against Bankeryds trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Hogsbo will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Team4Q in Helsingborg.
