Regular Season Round 10: Nishinomiya S. - Koshigaya A. 76-74

Sixth-ranked Koshigaya A. (2-8) was very close to win a game against first ranked Nishinomiya S. (8-2) in Hyogo on Saturday. Nishinomiya S. managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: DePaul) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Swingman Naoki Tani (193-88) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) replied with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Koshigaya A.Koshigaya A.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nishinomiya S. maintains first position with 8-2 record. Koshigaya A. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Bambitious N.. Nishinomiya S. are again looking forward to face Koshigaya A. (#6) in Tokyo in the next round where they are favorite. Koshigaya A. will have a break next round.
