Regular Season Round 4: ViVe - Helmi Basket 64-66

Helmi Basket can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Vimpeli, where they edged ViVe (0-3) 66-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 21-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Awak Kuier (194-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and guard Ebba Pekonen (171-1) who added 5 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Amy Griffin (183-96, college: La Salle) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Jamee Swan (188-94, college: Colorado) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Helmi Basket (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. It was ViVe's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Helmi Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Helsinki Torpan Pojat.
