Very expected game in Mahon where 8th ranked Albacete (2-4) was defeated by fourth ranked Menorca (4-2) 72-61 on Saturday. Menorca looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Albacete's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Urko Otegui (203-81) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Alberto Corbacho (200-84) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Menorca's coach Oriol Pages allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Dominican Eddy Polanco (190-94, college: SE Louisiana) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Ghanian forward Reggie Agbeko (203-92, college: St.Louis) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Menorca maintains fourth position in Silver with 4-2 record. Loser Albacete keeps the eighth place with four games lost.
