Regular Season Round 4: Den Bosch - Amsterdam 113-67
Date: October 19, 2019
Bottom-ranked Amsterdam (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 113-67 loss to second ranked Den Bosch (4-1) in Den Bosch on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.7 percent from the field. Den Bosch shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Siyani Chambers (183-93, college: Harvard) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists and American-Italian swingman Henry Caruso (193-95, college: Santa Clara) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Den Bosch's coach Jean-Marc Jaumin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Siem Uijtendaal (190-1) responded with 15 points and center Berend Weijs (207-88, college: Maryland) scored 11 points. Den Bosch have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Leiden. Loser Amsterdam still closes the standings with six games lost. Den Bosch will meet Zwolle (#4) on the road in the next round. Amsterdam will play against Leeuwarden (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
