Regular Season Round 5: Igualada - Maristes Ademar 74-71

Everything went according to plan when leader Igualada (5-0) edged at home 3rd placed Maristes Ademar (3-2) 74-71 on Saturday. Igualada looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Jaume Torres (187-83) stepped up and scored 13 points and 5 assists for the winners and center Eduard Tejero (196-92) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. Igualada's coach Jordi Marti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Oriol Franch responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Roger Franch scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Igualada have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group C-A with 5-0 record, which they share with Vic. Newly promoted Maristes Ademar dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Igualada will face SESE (#6) in Barcelona in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Maristes Ademar will play at home against Andorra II and hope to win that game.
