But Mataro Parc was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Girona 50-40 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Nuria Bagaria who scored 12 points. Fatou Cisse chipped in 4 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Olga Ruano (191-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and German guard Alina Hartmann (183-95, college: Colorado) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Girona will face Lima-Horta in Barcelona in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mataro Parc will play on the road against Genero (#12) in Las Palmas and hope to win that game.
