Regular Season Round 3: Honka - Pyrinto 84-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Pyrinto (2-1) in Espoo on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Honka (2-1) 84-67. The game was mostly controlled by Honka. Pyrinto managed to win second period 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Honka forced 19 Pyrinto turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Lauri Hynonen (193-2) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points. Point guard Heikki Lamberg (184-1) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Valtteri Taussi (189-1) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and center Roni Ahvenjarvi (200-2) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Honka is looking forward to face Lahti (#7) on the road in the next round. Pyrinto will play against OBA (#2) in Espoo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
