Leading Aaguacateros (8-3) recorded its third loss in Michoacan. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Abejas (6-6) 75-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Aaguacateros. Power forward Juan Manuel Esteva (196-83) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and American guard Spencer Williams (188-95, college: Wooster) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. Four Abejas players scored in double figures. Aaguacateros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Abejas maintains fifth place with 6-6 record, which they share with Astros.
