Regular Season Round 6: Vanves - Stade Rochelais 76-59

Vanves can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat La Rochelle (1-5) 76-59 on Saturday. Vanves dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to La Rochelle's 16. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Raphael Desroses (199-80) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Center Miguel Buval (207-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Vanves players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Tim Eboh (197-97) who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Ron Anderson (202-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Vanves left bottom position moving up to twelfth place in Group A, which they share with Stade Rochelais and Lourdes. It was La Rochelle's third loss in a row. Vanves will face league's second-placed Etoile Angers on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
