Regular Season Round 4: Vicenza - Udine 63-73

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Vicenza (1-3) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Udine (3-1) 73-63 on Saturday. Udine outrebounded Vicenza 43-29 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Vanessa Sturma (185-98) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 9 rebounds and guard Debora Vicenzotti (182-89) who added 17 points during the contest. At the losing side Bosnian center Tea Peric (187-99) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and center Laura Meroni (177-93) scored 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Udine maintains fifth position in A2 with 3-1 record. Loser Vicenza dropped to the thirteenth place with three games lost. Udine will face Sarcedo (#7) on the road in the next round. Vicenza will play against Bolzano BK (#4) and hope to win that game.
