Regular Season Round 6: Besancon - Andrezieux 70-66

There was an upset when higher ranked Andrezieux (3-3) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Besancon (2-4) 70-66 on Saturday. Andrezieux was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Jonathan Leria (198-90) who scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Thomas Prost (182-96) chipped in 7 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Besancon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Haitian point guard Cliff Colimon (182-89, college: EWU) who recorded 35 points (!!!) and Georgian guard Bryson Scott (188-94, college: PFW) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Andrezieux's coach Sebastien Cherasse rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Besancon moved-up to tenth place in Group B, which they share with Mulhouse and Kaysersberg. Loser Andrezieux dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Besancon will face higher ranked La Charite (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Andrezieux will play against Orchesien BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
