Regular Season Round 5: Barbera - Mataro Feimat 65-72

Everything went according to plan in Barcelona where third ranked Mataro Feimat (4-1) beat bottom-ranked Barbera (2-3) 72-65 on Saturday. Dominican power forward Jose Cabrera (206-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Jaume Sole (195-91) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Center Luis Lopez (205-95) responded with 15 points and point guard David Orrit (185-0) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Barbera's coach David Lizano rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mataro Feimat have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with Salou. Loser Barbera dropped to the bottom position with three games lost. Mataro Feimat will face Castelldefels (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barbera will play against Roser and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
