Regular Season Round 5: Guadalajara - Alcobendas 65-67

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Alcobendas and 8th ranked CB Guadalajara had identical 2-2 record. But CB Guadalajara was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Alcobendas 67-65 on Sunday night. Alcobendas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and forward David Marina (202-88) chipped in 13 points. Alcobendas' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Center Sergio Martinez (208-92) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and swingman Jorge Roche (192-96) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Alcobendas (3-2) moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with Alcala. CB Guadalajara lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with three games lost. Alcobendas will face Lanzarote (#8) in Arrecife in the next round. CB Guadalajara will play on the road against Estudiantes B in Madrid and hope to win that game.
