Regular Season Round 5: JAC Sants - Salou 68-55

There was a change at the EBA leadership position after last games. Round 5 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Salou (4-1). They were defeated by eleventh ranked JAC Sants (2-3) 68-55 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Salou. Ferran Mas (193-97) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and guard Pau Perez (184-98) chipped in 13 points. Forward Sisco Moreno (-98) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sergio Jimenez (188-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JAC Sants moved-up to ninth place in Group C-B, which they share with Barbera and Castelldefels. Salou at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Mataro Feimat. They were replaced at the leadership position by Tarragona. Salou will play next round against Sant Adria trying to make it back to the top of the standings. JAC Sants will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Palma II in S'Arenal.
