Regular Season Round 11: Nishinomiya S. - Koshigaya A. 83-69

Not a big story in a game in Hyogo where 6th ranked Koshigaya A. (2-9) was defeated by first ranked Nishinomiya S. (9-2) 83-69 on Sunday. Nishinomiya S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Swingman Naoki Tani (193-88) helped adding 21 points and 5 assists. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. American forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nishinomiya S. maintains first place with 9-2 record. Koshigaya A. lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Nishinomiya S. will face league's leader Dragonflies in Hiroshima in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Koshigaya A. will play at home against the league's second-placed Kagawa FA (#2) and hope to win that game.
