Regular Season Round 3: PeU-Basket - Pyrinto Ak.B 85-50

Everything went according to plan when PeU-Basket (3-0) outplayed Pyrinto Ak.B (0-3) in Pernio 85-50 on Sunday. The game without a history. PeU-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. PeU-Basket outrebounded Pyrinto Ak.B 53-29 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Trenton Thompson (198-96, college: Asbury) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Leevi-Matias Taimela (192-2) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four PeU-Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Eetu Laitinen (187-99) answered with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Aatu Pollanen (194-0) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pyrinto Ak.B. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PeU-Basket will face Huima in Aanekoski in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pyrinto Ak.B will play at home against Karkkila (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
