Regular Season Round 11: Aomori W. - Hiroshima D. 66-87

B2 League top team - Dragonflies (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Aomori W. (3-7) 87-66. Dragonflies made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Dragonflies outrebounded Aomori W. 37-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) helped adding 14 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. South Sudanese forward Mogga Lado (201-95, college: Campbell, agency: Agency) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Taichi Sano (177-93) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Aomori W. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Dragonflies will face league's leader Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aomori W. will play on the road against Kumamoto V. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
