Regular Season Round 4: AZS Start 2 - Tur Bielsk Pdl. 108-110

Important game to mention about took place in Lublin. Top-ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (3-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging much higher ranked AZS Start II (3-1) 110-108 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AZS Start II. It was a key game for the second position in Group B. Tur Bielsk Pdl. made 30-of-37 charity shots (81.1 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. AZS Start II was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Lukasz Kuczynski (194-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Point guard Mateusz Bebeniec (182-97) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Tur Bielsk Pdl.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Swingman Karol Obarek (194-93) replied with 32 points and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-94) added 19 points and 10 assists in the effort for AZS Start II. Four AZS Start II players scored in double figures. Tur Bielsk Pdl. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Dziki Wwa. AZS Start II at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Zubry. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play against Zubry (#5) in Bialystok in the next round. AZS Start II will play on the road against Stal SW in Stalowa Wola and hopes to get back on the winning track.
