Regular Season Round 5: San Miniato - Piombino 68-62

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Piombino (3-2) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked San Miniato (3-2) 68-62 on Sunday. San Miniato forced 19 Piombino turnovers. The best player for the winners was Edoardo Caversazio (200-96) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Nigerian power forward Emmanuel Enihe (200-98, agency: Players Group) chipped in 16 points. Point guard Alessandro Procacci (184-94) produced 27 points and 4 assists and Guglielmo Sodero (191-93) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Miniato moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Vigevano. San Miniato will face Capo d'Orlando (#8) on the road in the next round. Piombino will play against Valsesia and hope to win that game.
