Not a big story in a game in Alfas Del Pi where bottom-ranked L'Alfas (0-3) was rolled over by fifth ranked Gandia (2-1) 85-59 on Sunday. Gandia forced 19 L'Alfas turnovers. Point guard Joaquin Rodenas (186-90) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and Italian Roberto Corona chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Gandia players scored in double figures. Artem Yailo responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and guard Aaron Gomez (186) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gandia moved-up to third place in Group E-B, which they share with Calpe and Jairis. Loser L'Alfas still closes the standings with three games lost. Gandia will face Benidorm (#7) at home in the next round. L'Alfas will play against Cartagena and hopes to get finally their first victory.
