Regular Season Round 5: Martos - Cazorla 73-76

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Cazorla (1-2) edged on the road 6th ranked Martos (1-2) 76-73 on Sunday. David Garcia stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and swingman Pablo Serrano (191-0) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Gaston Zalazar (-96) responded with 14 points and swingman Julian Aviles (185-98) scored 12 points. Martos' coach Antonio Navas tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Cazorla left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Group D-A, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Martos. Cazorla will face league's second-placed Novaschool in Malaga in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Martos will play on the road against Andujar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
