Regular Season Round 4: Jamtland 2 - Alvik 2 85-77

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Alvik 2 (2-2) against fourth ranked Jamtland 2 (3-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Alvik 2 was defeated by Jamtland 2 in a tough game in Ostersund 77-85. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-17. But Alvik 2 won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jamtland 2 well out of reach of Alvik 2 shooting 79.1 percent from the field. They also forced 22 Alvik 2 turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 110 long-distance shots on high 85.9 percentage. Jamtland 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Alexander Yemane (200-99) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward John Palsson (190-99) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman David Jolinder (194-1) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Fabian Gatter (195-0) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jamtland 2 moved-up to third place in North. Newly promoted Alvik 2 dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Lulea S.. Jamtland 2 will meet league's leader KFUM Uppsala on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Alvik 2 will play against RIG Lulea (#9) and hope to secure a win.
