Regular Season Round 8: Shizuoka - Tokyo HT 62-71

We should mention about the upset which took place in Shizuoka, where 6th ranked Shizuoka (3-4) lost at home to ninth ranked Tokyo HT (3-5) 62-71 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and guard Hiroya Ogane (180-89) who added 12 points during the contest. American forward Roschon Prince (198-94, college: Detroit Mercy) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and guard Yuta Azuma (186-95) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo HT moved-up to eighth place. Shizuoka lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Saitama Bron.. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo CR.
