Rather expected game when 6th ranked Gomel-Sozh (1-3) was crushed at home by top-ranked Olimpia (3-0) 101-58 on Sunday. The game without a history. Olimpia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Olimpia looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gomel-Sozh's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Natallia Baklaha (170-93) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side forward Anna Hatskevich (180-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Maryna Rakauskaya (173-92) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk and Gorizont. Gomel-Sozh at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Olimpia will face RGUOR (#6) in Minsk in the next round where they are favorite. Gomel-Sozh will play at home against BDU Tsmoki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
