Regular Season Round 7: Toyota A. - Hitachi Cougars 78-59

Very expected game in Nagoya where 10th ranked Hitachi Cougars (1-4) were crushed by fifth ranked Toyota A. (4-2) 78-59 on Sunday. Toyota A. dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Cougars' 26. It was a great evening for the former international forward Ryoko Yano (178-78) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (182-93) helped adding 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Yuki Kitamura (173-94) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and international power forward Chika Suzuki (183-93) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyota A. maintains fifth place with 4-2 record. Hitachi Cougars at the other side keep the tenth position with four games lost.
