Regular Season Round 4: Skallagrimur - KR 68-83

The most interesting game of round 4 was a home defeat of 5th ranked Skallagrimur (2-2) by third ranked KR (3-1) who outscored them by 15 points 83-68. It ended the two-game winning streak of Skallagrimur. Skallagrimur was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Danielle Rodriguez (178-93, college: Utah) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 blocks and guard Astros Aegisdottir (176-0) who added 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four KR players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Keira Robinson (176-95, college: VCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of her eight free throws) and Danish power forward Emilie Hesseldal (186-90, college: Colorado St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. KR moved-up to second place, which they share with Haukar. Skallagrimur at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Keflavik and Snaefell. KR is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Grindavik (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Skallagrimur will play against Keflavik (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
