Timberwolves used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Brooklyn 127-126 on Wednesday night. Timberwolves made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Nets were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Australian-American guard Kyrie Irving (190-92, college: Duke) replied with 50 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Caris LeVert (201-94, college: Michigan) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Nets. Four Timberwolves and five Nets players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game.
