Regular Season Round 5: Bielsko-Biala - Pogon RS 66-79

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Bielsko-Biala (1-4) lost at home to eleventh ranked Pogon RS (1-3) 79-66 on Wednesday. Pogon RS forced 29 Bielsko-Biala turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Rafal Sebrala (194-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Dawid Komandzik (190-97) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Five Pogon RS players scored in double figures. Forward Robert Kozaczka (199-81) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) added 10 points and 8 assists in the effort for Bielsko-Biala. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pogon RS left bottom position moving up to ninth place in Group C. Loser Bielsko-Biala dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Pogon RS will face Unia Tarnow (#13) at home in the next round. Bielsko-Biala will play against the league's leader Wisla Krakow and will have a slim chance for a victory.
