Regular Season Round 5: Unia Tarnow - Jaroslaw 64-87

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Jaroslaw (2-3) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Unia Tarnow (0-5) 87-64 on Wednesday. Jaroslaw dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Unia Tarnow's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Unia Tarnow's players. Guard Cezary Guminski (192-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Artur Mikolajko (197-79) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Jaroslaw players scored in double figures. Guard Jacek Sulowski (192-79) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Blazej Karlik (192-97) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Unia Tarnow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Jaroslaw maintains eighth place in Group C with 2-3 record. Unia Tarnow lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Jaroslaw will face higher ranked UR Krakow (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Unia Tarnow will play against Pogon RS (#9) in Ruda Slaska and hopes to get finally their first victory.
