Regular Season Round 5: Tur Bielsk Pdl. - Zubry 90-97

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (3-1) against fifth ranked Zubry (4-1) on Wednesday night. Host Tur Bielsk Pdl. was defeated by Zubry in a tough game in Bielsk Podlaski 90-97. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tur Bielsk Pdl.. It was a key game for the second position in Group B. Zubry dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tur Bielsk Pdl.'s 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona St. CC) nailed 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Patryk Wydra (182-97) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Forward Rafal Krol (198-87) came up with 29 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Mateusz Bebeniec (182-97) added 13 points and 13 assists respectively for Tur Bielsk Pdl. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Zubry. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with AZS Start II. Loser Tur Bielsk Pdl. dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Dziki Wwa. Zubry will meet Stal SW (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play against AZS UW (#8) and hope to secure a win.
