Regular Season Round 5: Inter Bratislava - Rieker KN 95-77

Undefeated leader Inter Bratislava delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Rieker KN (1-3) 95-77. Inter Bratislava forced 20 Rieker KN turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists. The former international center Michal Batka (204-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Kenney Funderburk (193-92, college: Columbus St.) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Aramis Naglic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Miles Bowman-Jr (198-93, college: High Point) answered with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and the other American import center Bradley Hayes (213-94, college: Georgetown) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Rieker KN. Inter Bratislava (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row. Rieker KN at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against Handlova (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rieker KN will play against Iskra Svit and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
