Regular Season Round 5: Stal SW - AZS Start 2 62-92

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked AZS Start II (4-1) outplayed bottom-ranked Stal SW (0-4) in Stalowa Wola 92-62 on Wednesday. AZS Start II dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Stal SW's 22 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. AZS Start II had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Mateusz Wisniewski (202-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-94) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Guard Karol Kindlik (176-0) answered with 14 points and 4 assists and Damian Tabor (186-98) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Stal SW. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS Start II moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Zubry. Stal SW lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. AZS Start II will have a break next round. Stal SW will play at home against Zubry (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
