There was no surprise in Reykjavik where 9th ranked Thor Thorl (1-3) was edged by top-ranked KR (4-0) 78-75 on Thursday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Thor Thorl was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 22-16 charge of KR, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International forward Kristofer Acox (200-93, college: Furman) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Vincent Bailey (201-91, college: Lincoln Memorial) produced 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Croatian Marko Bakovic (205-93) added 16 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KR have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Keflavik. Loser Thor Thorl dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. KR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Reykjavik to the arena IR.
