No shocking result in a game in Borganes where top-ranked Vestri (3-0) smashed bottom-ranked Skallagrimur (0-4) 110-90 on Thursday. The game without a history. Vestri led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Skallagrimur was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) fired 31 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Marino Palmason (190-2) produced 8 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and guard David Gudmundsson (186-94) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vestri have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Skallagrimur still closes the standings with four games lost. Vestri will face league's leader Hamar at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Skallagrimur will play against FSU (#6) in Selfoss and hopes to get finally their first victory.
