Everything could happen in Washington at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Wizards and their close opponent Thunder had identical 0-1 record. This time Wizards used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Oklahoma City 97-85 on Friday night. Wizards looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Thomas Bryant (208-97, college: Indiana) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Japanese forward Rui Hachimura (203-98, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Five Wizards players scored in double figures. Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky) produced 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Italian Danilo Gallinari (208-88) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Wizards (1-1) left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 10 other teams. Loser Thunder still closes the standings with two games lost. Wizards will face league's second-placed Spurs in San Antonio in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week.
