Very predictable result when sixth ranked Caen (4-2) rolled over at home 11th ranked Vitre (2-5) 83-55 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Caen made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for guard Gaetan Clerc (189-91) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists. Point guard Maurice Acker (173-87, college: Marquette) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Caen players scored in double figures. Forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Robert Turner (188-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points in the effort for Vitre.
