Very important is a road loss of second ranked CB Prat (5-2) against seventh ranked Barca II (4-3) on Saturday night. Visiting CB Prat was defeated by Barca II in a tough game in Barcelona 77-86. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 53-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Barca II dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to CB Prat's 32. They outrebounded CB Prat 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Sergi Martinez (203-99) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Senegalese center Ibou Dianko-Badji (218-2) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side. Center Arnau Parrado (200-0) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Marc Blanch (195-82) added 15 points and 4 steals respectively for CB Prat in the defeat. Five Barca II and four CB Prat players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Barca II moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Loser CB Prat dropped to the third position with two games lost. Barca II will meet league's second-placed Menorca in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CB Prat will play against Villarrobledo and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the LEB Gold just one year after relegation.
