Regular Season Round 6: Pogon Prudnik - Pruszkow 80-88

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Pogon Prudnik (2-4) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Pruszkow (2-4) 88-80 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was point guard January Sobczak (179-97) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists. Power forward Mateusz Szwed (198-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Wojciech Pisarczyk (201-88) who recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international Marcin Sroka (201-81) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pogon Prudnik's coach Tomasz Michalak tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pruszkow moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Pogon Prudnik. Pruszkow will face higher ranked Miasto Szkla (#4) in Krosno in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
