Regular Season Round 9: Saitama B. - Kanazawa 84-73

Very expected game when 11th ranked Kanazawa (2-7) lost on the road to seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (4-4) 84-73 on Saturday. Saitama Broncos outrebounded Kanazawa 55-34 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 24 rebounds. Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Takehiro Yamaguchi (182-94) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kanazawa. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama Broncos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shizuoka. Loser Kanazawa keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Saitama Broncos will face again Kanazawa (#11) in Ishikawa in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
