Regular Season Round 6: San Vendemiano - Juvi Cremona 90-85

Date: October 26, 2019
There was no surprise when 8th ranked Juvi Cremona (2-4) was defeated on the road by top-ranked San Vendemiano (6-0) 90-85 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Juvi Cremona was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Andrea Tassinari (185-96) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Tommaso Gatto (203-96, agency: Players Group) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Marco Bona (189-89, agency: Two Points) who recorded 20 points and 6 assists and point guard Francesco Belloni (193-94) added 24 points respectively. Juvi Cremona's coach Pierluigi Brotto gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. San Vendemiano have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of B leader, which they share with Padova. Juvi Cremona lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. San Vendemiano will face Soresina Gilbertina (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Juvi Cremona will play against Omnia Basket (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
