Regular Season Round 6: Biofarm PZN - Polfarmex Kutno 83-75

We should mention about the upset which took place in Poznan, where higher ranked Polfarmex (3-2) lost to thirteenth ranked Biofarm PZN (2-4) in a road game 75-83 on Saturday. Biofarm PZN shot 23 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Polfarmex only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Polfarmex 52-27 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Mateusz Brek (192-94) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Point guard Dawid Brek (187-89) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Biofarm PZN's coach Marcin Klozinski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (180-93) who recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Karol Nowakowski (198-99) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Polfarmex players scored in double figures. Biofarm PZN moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Polfarmex dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Biofarm PZN will face bottom-ranked Klodzko (#15) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Polfarmex will play against Ksiezak Lowicz (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
