Regular Season Round 12: Yamagata - FE Nagoya 63-87

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked FE Nagoya (7-5) smashed on the road 6th ranked Yamagata (3-9) 87-63 on Saturday. FE Nagoya made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Kei Sugimoto (182-92) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Four FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Stephen Hurt (211-93, college: Kansas St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FE Nagoya maintains fourth position with 7-5 record. Yamagata lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. FE Nagoya will have a break next round. Yamagata will play again at home against FE Nagoya (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
