There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (2-4) won against on the road higher ranked JSF Nanterre (2-4) 68-63 on Saturday. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) notched 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: MSU Denver, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 14 points. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by American swingman Spencer Butterfield (191-92, college: Utah St.) did not help to save the game for JSF Nanterre. Isaia Cordinier (196-96) added 10 points. Four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated JSF Nanterre. Entente Orleans 45 will meet at home higher ranked Cholet Basket (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. JSF Nanterre will play against Boulazac Basket (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
