No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Chalon (4-2) beat at home 15th ranked Boulazac (2-4) 80-73 on Saturday. Chalon forced 20 Boulazac turnovers. It was a good game for swingman Claudien Eliezer-Vanerot (187-1) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Forward Lucas Kouyate (201-99) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Chalon players scored in double figures. Guard Paul Billong (193-1) replied with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Mohamad Diop (204-99) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Boulazac. Chalon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Roanne. Loser Boulazac dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Chalon will face ASVEL (#8) in Villeurbanne in the next round. Boulazac will play at home against Nanterre and hope to win that game.
