Regular Season Round 6: Valencia - Gernika 66-63

The most exciting game of round 6 in the LFB took place in Valencia. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Gernika (4-2) to sixth ranked Valencia (4-2) 66-63 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gernika. Czech center Julia Reisingerova (194-98) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Maria Pina (187-87) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management) with 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American swingman Julie Wojta (183-89, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Valencia moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Gernika.
