Regular Season Round 6: AZS PO - GKS Tychy 83-87

There was a small surprise in Opole where tenth ranked GKS Tychy (3-3) defeated 7th ranked AZS PO (2-3) 87-83 on Saturday. GKS Tychy forced 20 AZS PO turnovers. The best player for the winners was Pawel Zmarlak (195-82) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Michal Jankowski (191-87) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88) who recorded 10 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Wojciech Leszczynski (190-92) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively. Four GKS Tychy and five AZS PO players scored in double figures. GKS Tychy moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ksiezak Lowicz. AZS PO lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. GKS Tychy will face WKK Wroclaw (#8) on the road in the next round. AZS PO will play against the league's second-placed STK Czarni in Slupsk and hope to win that game.
