Regular Season Round 7: Gijon - Moron 73-77

LEB Silver round 7 most important game was a victory of Moron over 8th ranked Gijon 77-73 on Saturday night. Strangely Gijon outrebounded Moron 39-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jose-Antonio Marco (179-89) who helped to win the game recording 13 points. Point guard Guillermo Corrales (180-95) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Power forward Carlos Poyatos (207-94) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and Dominican forward Gregorio Adon (198-91, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 18 points in the effort for Gijon. Four Gijon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Moron (4-3) moved-up to fourth place in Silver. Gijon at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Moron are looking forward to face Ponferrada CDP (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gijon will play against Zamorano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
