Regular Season Round 5: Oviedo - Almansa 70-72

Almansa can celebrate their first win this season after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Oviedo, where they edged Oviedo CB (1-3) 72-70 on Saturday. Oviedo CB was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 15-10 charge of Almansa, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was British forward Rowell Graham (197-94) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican guard Bobby Harris (185-91, college: Amer.Internat., agency: Duran International) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Point guard Sergio Llorente (186-90) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 assists and Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Almansa and five Oviedo CB players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Almansa maintains sixteenth place with 1-4 record. It was Oviedo CB's third loss in a row. Loser Oviedo CB keeps the fifteenth position with three games lost. Almansa will face league's second-placed Palencia Baloncesto at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
