Regular Season Round 12: Koshigaya A. - Kagawa FA 74-76

Sixth-ranked Koshigaya A. (2-10) made lots of trouble for second ranked Kagawa FA (7-3) in Tokyo. The visitors from Takamatsu managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Kagawa FA outrebounded Koshigaya A. 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) replied with 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) added 21 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Koshigaya A.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA maintains second position with 7-3 record having five points less than leader Hiroshima D. Koshigaya A. lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Bambitious N.. Kagawa FA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Koshigaya A. will play again at home against the league's second-placed Kagawa FA (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
